oak — equity, accounted
oak is an annual statement for the home, by sum28, a california real-estate technology company: value range, equity position, and tax and insurability facts — arriving every january, like the rest of your net worth. oak is in design, planned for january 2027.
what is oak?
the home is the largest thing most families own, and the least accounted for. every other part of a household's net worth produces a statement — the brokerage account in january, the retirement plan each quarter. the home produces silence, interrupted only by a sale.
oak is the statement the home never had: once a year, a sealed account of what the house is worth (as a range), where the equity stands, and the tax and insurability facts an owner — or an heir — needs.
why a value range instead of a single number?
because a home's value is an estimate with real uncertainty, and sum28's constitution forbids stating a point estimate where the honest answer is a range. oak reports the range the evidence supports — an honest account, not a confident guess.
when does oak launch?
oak is planned for january 2027 and is currently in design. the first statements will arrive in january — that timing is the point.
who makes oak?
oak is built by sum28 (SUM 28 LLC), a california company building trust instruments for real estate: p2d (photo to description, verified — live), ohm (open house, measured — july 2026), and oak.
